Scotland and the rest of the UK was hit by snow storms carried on the wind over from Siberia last week, and everything stopped. There were no buses, trains, planes and there was panic at the supermarket as everyone rushed to stock up. These photos were taken on the first day of spring, during a walk through Inverleith Park. This spot in Edinburgh is usually a lush green, but as you can see it had been rendered monochrome by the heavy snow.
